The purpose of this track
The Arabic curriculum is the backbone of advanced Islamic study. It begins in English with introductory Qur'anic Arabic and then shifts into Arabic reading, grammar, morphology, rhetoric, poetry, and advanced texts.
The goal is not merely vocabulary or conversational ability, but the ability to read and understand the books of the Islamic sciences.
Recommended path
Students should move sequentially through ARB101–ARB104, then Qasas al-Nabiyyin, then grammar and morphology before deeper reading and advanced texts.
