A brief introduction to the Islamic paradigm of marriage covering the reasons why one should get married and the intentions one should bring to mind in doing so; the Shariah and practical considerations of the process including meeting before marriage, the proposal, the wedding, and consummation of the marriage; the family dynamics in view of the Quran and Sunna; and the basic rights that each spouse is entitled to.
The lectures are more focussed on the practical and moral side of marriage than the details of Shariah law. That said, many of the most practical points of Shariah law are touched upon.
