The purpose of this track
The Hadith curriculum introduces students to the categories and sources of hadith, while also cultivating love and familiarity with the prophetic inheritance through Riyad al-Salihin, Shamail, and eschatological works.
The later Arabic courses introduce students to technical study, takhrij, legal hadith, and the language of hadith literature.
Recommended path
Begin with foundational hadith collections before entering Arabic technical works. Students interested in legal hadith should also complete key fiqh and aqida prerequisites.
